New Stampin' Up! Products to show off!

Stampin' Up! has just released their new catalog and it is filled with some wonderful new products. A few have managed to land on my front door step, so I decided to show off a hand made birthday card I made earlier today.

The new Designer Series Paper – Gingham Garden (129310) is full of beautiful bright papers and I selected a gorgeous floral to layer onto So Saffron (105118) to create a cheery birthday greeting. It's a birthday, right?! It has to be vivid and lively.

I then used something that is one of my favorite products now - WASHI TAPE! I love it! So forgiving and repositionable. The item number for the Washi Tape is 129314 and the price is fantastic. I cut out a few flowers with my 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up off the page for some added "excitement". The happy birthday message at the bottom of the page is from some brand new rubber stamps called Label Love (130622) and perfectly cut with the matching punch (130920). Amazing.

I'm sorry I didn't get time to crop my picture. I have to go back to work tomorrow. I teach little ones and they require a lot of prep work.

Color Refresh - Stampin' Up! is changing colors!

Stampin' Trimmer

If you want a well-made paper trimmer that does more than your current paper cutter, then pay attention. Stampin' Up has a paper trimmer that does what you need - and more.

• An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
• The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements.
• The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
• The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.
• When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.

• The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch.

• Storage compartment under base

• The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades, and even business cards.

Have you ever wanted to keep a favorites list of crafting sites - but not go through the process of weeding them out every time one of them dropped off the planet or a brand new delightful site joined the universe? Welllll, now you don't have to fret. You can have your very own Paper Crafts Directory without having to do the work. A number of sites actually do the work for you - and they categorize the paper crafting sites for you. You can bookmark one site, or a couple, and just visit them instead of having to search and search or worse - store your own favorites and hope they are alive and well when you go back to check them.

Take this site for instance: Craft Site Directory They offer a great directory of paper crafting sites categorized down the right hand side of the page. They even show snapshots of what each site looks like so you can get a quick look before you click.

Here is another site which has a Directory for Arts and Crafts: DMOZ Arts and Crafts Directory. While there are not a lot of sites shown, this directory is known for only admitting sites that are non-scammy and top of the line.

One more Crafts Directory is: Hot vs. Not. This site has been around a long time and has always been pretty good. Most directories try to keep their lists up-to-date so that visitors are able to click through to the information they need and not be disappointed.

Maybe you'll find a few new sites that sparks some new interests. Enjoy!
